Pseudo M-Sport LWB arriving straight from the auction…

All masked up ready for the chop…

No going back as the air-saw goes in…

Safety frame cassette being lowered in…

First production GRP roof shell being lifted on by Mick & Geoff, ready to be laminated on…

Roof set, lock-down system installed and heading off to our video shoot….

Our new Transit Custom pop top on set in the sunny Yorkshire Dales…

For those on the day who didn’t believe it had a roof fitted 😉

Fully popped, allowing 1.5 metres of extra height at the front and showing our trademark triple-zipped windows…

The Transit Custom pop top you truly cannot spot…

Showing the same front & rear lift, scissor hinges etc as our tried and tested Transporter roof…

Back home post shoot – next job is the bed installation and trimming out…

‘Scenic’ canvas fully unzipped & tied back, elevating cantilever style bed now fitted and shown here, raised on its gas rams…

Bed in lowered position…

One big sunroof! Roof elevated & canvas zipped out, all now trimmed out and LED spotlights fitted into soffits supplied with the HiLo kit…

Now you see them… Front 2 lockdown knobs (of a total 4 = T-lock) are housed in neat, factory look recesses..

Now you don’t – designed & situated so both sun visors flip shut over knobs when not in use…

Van now back from the paint shop – showing the Transit Custom elevating roofs’ super-low profile and our custom, one piece extruded wind deflector as the finishing touch..

This first production white gel coat roof has been 2-pak painted & oven baked – Note no HiLo alloy discs showing up top as the Trsnait Custom roof has a thread for the knobs fixed to the lid instead of being on a bolt screwing upwards.. Smooth!
